About LinkBacksMy friend just called me to visit the NY DMV website and there is a link for a press release about New Yorks, new license plates. They will start being issued in April.

My personal opinion is split, I like them because they have the older style to them, but I dislike them because they are such an odd color for my color car...

Might actually look cool on a yellow superbee . The gold will blend with the yellow and will make the blue numbers and letters appear to float . Will look like total crap on my silver steel though , as well as most if not all other colors .

They should have done it the other way around, a darker blue with the deep yellow/gold lettering.
I really wish California would bring back the all black license plate from the 60's. Actually all states should capitalize on the recent trend for classic American nostalgic style and sell specialty old school plates. If they can sell sport team and save the manatee specialty plates then why not throwback's from the days when cars had character and significance.Last edited by MuscleMan305; 11-11-2009 at 12:11 PM.

That plate is going to look so cr@ppy on my car. I wish I could go some were else, or just not buy the new one. It wont be long, people will not be going out to do anything, buy anything here in New York. Between the county taxes and the State taxes I cant afford to do much now. I'm glad I can go to the woods and get lost for almost free.
