Question Need tips on flattening out a baseball ticket!

For Christmas and my birthday, my best friend got me a framed Red Sox photo along with tickets of the Fenway Park tour we took.

I found the ticket I had to see the game that night, but it isnt in the greatest condition (but isnt TOO bad).

Aside from putting something heavy on top of it, are there any tips on flattening it out to its original condition.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Hmmm... Funny I was thinking steam iron on the lowest steam setting and between a couple of sheets of linen.

Like your wife's best tablecloth. It's for a good cause!

I'll try the iron thing... I was just worried that it may run the ink.

Depends on how it's printed. But that's the reason you put it between something.

Hmm, I remember flattening leaves with two sheets of wax paper on them and a dish towel around that.

The idea is to get the heat in, but not have any lateral forces get applied. The steam might help the paper relax and then the heat quickly drives it out, keeping it that shape.

If you like, you could get some card stock, crumple it and see how you do with it, to get the feel for the minimum amount needed, first, then do the ticket.

paper burns at 450 fahrenheit so any heat on the Iron below that would be good don't put anything damp on it, the ink might run, but doo cover it with something like a wash cloth. send me the ticket and air fair to Boston and I'll fix it and bring the tiket back to you.

Place it in the middle of a large book & close the pages on it.

Check on it in several days/weeks.

The ink won't run on a ticket from water. Using a water based ink would be sheer stupidity for that application.

Scan it, so we can see it. I'll ask my wife as she's a printing and imaging specialist with 25 years experience.

Ahh.. the good ol leave thing! That brings back memories! Its actually not as bad as I thought it was. I'm going to keep it between some heavy books for a couple of weeks and see what happens.
