    Need Music for my Website?

Ok guys with over 11K members here I'm sure there is someone who can help me out. I'm looking to add music to my new website. Although I like alot of current songs out the I don't want to pay the licenesing fees to use them. I'm looking for a kick ass beat that has alot of bass. Maybe something that could be mixed to create my own version.

Anyone out there? Pm me with some examples of your work.

    Thanks,

    Ernie

Please don't put music on - that's one of the first things that will cause me to click that big "X" in the upper right hand corner...

Haha... at least provide a fairly obvious means of turning it off. You need to find anybody with a newer Mac... they can mix you something cool up in Garage Band.

Whatever you do Ernie, don't put music on! One of the more hated features of the internet in its early days. One of the adverse effects it has on sales is it will stop people from visiting your web site while they are at work, since as soon as they show up music will sound off until they can rush to the "STFU" button.

Usability studies have put this as even more hated than Flash splash screens, and thats saying a lot.

Check this out. Lots of good info here on making a web site right if you are out to make a buck. Not the thing your designer wants you to read but your accountant will love it.

I have a friend that makes excellent beats. I will chat with him and see if he can make a couple samples up. You say you want a current song with a different spin on it or just an original beat? I'll let you know ASAP!

You guys are going to die, but I'm in the process of making a 60 second Flash intro page, with music, 'cause my new boss and his wife want a kick arse intro. They're even going to throw a big party with a projector to show it off. I'm guessing most of the audience will puke!
Of course, I will have a large link at the beginning fo Skip Intro This Time, and one for Skip Intro Permanently!

I guess I can sort of see, if your visiting a brand new site, and it's got a kind of cool intro, I might lie to see it ONE TIME. And then skip it after that. Only cause I like to see what some other web guys can do from an artistic standpoint. But if I want to buy something, I'm heading for Amazon where it's purely functional.

    The music is Pantera though...

This is my buddies site.. He's on my team at work. The site was designed by my partner at work. Once it takes off, and it looks like it might, apparently I have a mechanical side gig, lol. A bunch of cops get together and make a chopper shop.. not too shabby!
