I think that the apartment management should be given a one way ticket to the commie country of their choice.
They're worried about somebody potentially being offended by the flying of the American flag- I find that offensive.

Wow...that is amazing. I would get a flag wrap on my car, put flags every where around my apartment, do everything possible.
Wonder if the buisness owners are originally American.... These type of people make me sick

When you can't fly the American flag in America....
I would be on the horn with a lawyer ASAP and offer to take it as deep into the courts as the management company would care to pay to lose. It is unconstitutional to force someone to fly it, or even to like it - that's one of the freedoms we enjoy and which makes our country special. But I'll be dead and in the ground before somebody will tell me I can't fly it.

What is offensive about the American flag?
And who are they worried about offending?
The only eye sore flag is the one advertising apts. with the red white and blue colors.
I find that offensive to my flag.
I have heard of a few different home owners associations with flag bans.
Some times neighbors get in a competion on how big of a flag they can find.
And I see no problem with that either.
Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005

I would have to tell them to kiss my arse .
they can ban whatever they want, it's their property and that's the american way. Also though, they're gonna have to take the consequences, Americans moving out and who-knows-who moving in. Albany is just 20 minutes away from where I live and it's not a very "commie" kind of town, very blue collar. I imagine the economic repercussions will do more than any beatings or laws and lawyers ever could.

I guess you're gonna have to show me where in the constitution the Federal Government is granted the right to pass and or enforce that law before you can convince me it's a valid violation of individual and property rights. Can you stretch the commerce clause that far?
Edit, before you red-bean me for writing this you should know, I'm a former Marine and I have the flag tattooed onto my shoulder, on permanent display. I just don't think it's a valid reason to usurp property rights.
