So things are pretty dark for me right now, I am doing all I can to take myself to a better place.
One of the easiest choices I have ever been able to make came with the aid of my Wife and our adult son.
My sister had been married for about 16 years and that came to a very abrupt end quite a while ago. She took it in stride and despite all the problems that were uncovered (husband claimed exempt for every year of their marriage, tax burden is shared for that) she dusted herself off and found a new life. About five months ago, her fiancee moved out while she was at work. She took that quite a bit harder. She was pretty down about it, but again she has begun to bounce back. She has made a decision to louse weight I am proud to say she is doing a great job at it. She has not been able to overcome the financial burden of a home leased on a two income budget. She was facing real financial ruin again after all the years of taking care of the garbage she was left with after the end of her first marriage.
So what was the easy choice that had to be made and why is my son suddenly "My adult son"?
Bret lives in a double wide trailer that he and a friend rent from us. I only had to ask him once if he would move out so I could give the home to his aunt. He will be moving back home with us this weekend and My sister will be moving into His home.
It will be the first home my sister has ever owned. It needs a ton of work, and we will help her get it into to shape. She will be moving in with her son and his soon to be wife. Josh will help her as much as he can, he has cerebral palsy and is one of my true heroes in life.
I have to add that I have the most wonderful wife with a heart as big as any that the world has ever been blessed with. I thank her for letting me do this and every other little thing I get involved with. It is her love that provide me the strength to face each day now with courage rather that fear.
Man I love this place

My thoughts are with you and your wonderful family, Joe. Geographically, I'm limited in helping out, but under different circumstances I would do all I could.

You are doing a wonderful thing and the biggest blessing is that your "Adult Son" is a gracious man. (He must have been taught well by you and your wife). More people need to be willing to make the sacrifices to help their family out. We'll be praying for you all and I'm sure the blessings will flow from your good deeds.
