    Holy freakin heat-wave Batman

so I was just cruisin around the old airfield and i look down to check the temperature and find this. AC was on and the car was comfy but i'd be damned if i wanted to get outside and feel that air. Should have stayed in bed this morning...

Who else is getting cooked like this today?

I am conceding the outdoors until this blows over. I am setting up shop in the basement and staying there until I see double digit indexes.

It's been a little warm here, too.

I noticed it yesterday evening when my boots were sticking to the asphalt.

When working a crash, you can't stand in one place too long.

We had the heat last weekend and the beginning of this week. We toughed it out and didn't complain... Because we know in a couple months we'll be begging for that heat when we have 9 feet of snow on us...

We've been suffering through a heatwave with record breaking dew point and humidity levels. For a few days this past week, the only place more humid on Earth were the Amazon rain forests.

But as good midwesterners, we just shrug it off.

This was from July 17, taken at 12:53pm. The temperature climbed near 100, and the dew point settled in around 80 and the relative humidity climbed up to match. The heat index was nearly 120. Ball soup, anyone?

Not only that - only a few months ago, MN was having record colds... minus 40 or whatever it was. I saw some Twins reporter mention that on the Weather Channel a few days ago.
