The Great LX-Weight Off!! (Part 2)

At the end of the old thread DMAG asked about a part two...well what the hell. I've got time on my hands now, I'm not doing real estate anymore, I'm back in school, my house is being foreclosed on (sorry American economy, that's totally my fault), I don't hate my job and I'm back to writing.

To recap, last year I realized I was horribly out of shape:
    6'
    240lbs
    BP: 140/110
    Resting Pulse was around 85-90
Near zero flexibility (I couldn't reach my knees if I kept them straight).

I decided to lose some weight and wondered who else wanted in on the "fun". Turns out there were a whole bunch of us who wanted to be healthier, and that's awesome. Within a few months I had dropped down to 200lbs, 110/70, ~70BPM and can confortably touch the floor with my knuckles.

So once more! It's Monday, the start of a new week and the start of a new month, to EVERYONE who wants to lose a few pounds, give advice and encouragement to those trying or just looking for someone to share the "hey I lost a pound this week!" with.

    Here are the Rules:

Anyone can join anytime, just post your current weight (if you're comfortable with doing so) and how much you want to lose!

Don't do anything rediculous, please be safe.

Weigh in every Monday, post your weight and the last few weigh ins.

Also if you were involved in the last thread, post your old weight, your new weight, how much you lost over how long and your current target weight!

started at 240 dropped 20 lbs in 2 months, stopped at 220 for a few months then lost another 20 in another 2 months. I've held at 197-199 since November and plan on being 190-185 by the end of March!

I lost my weight by eating approx. 1/3 of the calories I burned. I exercised on an elliptical machine 3-7 times a week for 20-45 min a time.

Alright, I started my quest in September while deployed

    height 5'7"

    Starting weight: 190 lbs

    This morning: 160 lbs

    My goal 150-155

While deployed I was able to spend two hours at gym. I would treadmill run for 20 min. Then either stairmaster or eliptical for 40 min. The last hour I would lift weights.

Now that Im home I have modified my schedule. Now I do a 3 days on then one off. Every day I exercise I run 1.5 - 2 miles. Then I alternate from chest/arms, shoulders/back to legs then day off.

Eating habits: Mostly I just cut portions in half. I still eat the same stuff, just half of what I used to. When we go out to eat, I try and choose the most healthy thing on the menu, then split it with my wife.

Ok. My sister's wedding was 3 weeks ago. My wife and I have been horrified by the pics of ourselves we have seen from this joyous event. Quick recap...I was a college football player. I could not get my weight over 185lbs to save my life when I was playing. Now 227lbs. My wife...former Miss IL semifinalist. Size zero. Two kids and roughly 10 years later...(I dare not give details). We both joined Lifetime Fitness this past Saturday. My goal weight 200lbs Since the wedding I have shed roughly 5lbs just on diet mods. Updates to follow.

    Currently

    6'
    227lbs.

    Target = 200lbs.
