    Google Earth - awesome program!

This website has a program that you can download that will get you up close and personal with most addresses that your looking for. You can start off by looking at the earth from space and then zoon in to look at anything you want. Swoop through the Grand Canyon, go on a tour of DC, check out a house that your interested in purchasing or see where a store is located. This thing is addicting but it can come in handy.

    Enjoy!

I've been using that for quite awhile. Just remember...the pics on Google Earth can be as old as 10+ years. Very cool.

I entered my home address and found that they show the area from a few years ago when my old house was on the property. The address for that was off by about 100 ft but others were spot on. Cool thing is I can get down to see what cars are in the driveway. Some areas are clearer than others. I think there is a site that provides very recent images. It would be good to find one that provides current (live) shots.

This can come in handy if I need to locate customers or other companys

It is cool, been out for quite a while. You'll probably notice the maps are old. I zoomed in on my house last year and saw my X's car in the drive way and no grass in the back yard, we had just moved. That satalite picture was 3 years old.

Microsoft Virtual Earth (http://local.live.com) SOMETIMES has newer satellite shots, and can let you zoom in closer. Depends on the area. Google and MS both have the identical shot of my house, but there are times with MS that you can tell which car is parked in the diveway. Especially in urban areas like San Francisco.

Google Earth (formerly known as Keyhole) is good stuff. I think they've really done a nice job improving the user interface. It was always okay, but now with all the other google content it's really useful.

It's posted in the Gas Tank which is for off-topic postings. If you only want to read about LXs, don't check the Gas Tank.

It's interesting to use this to look at places in other countries. Especially if you'll be going there later. You can get used to the area before you even leave home

Yeah... those that would do us harm, probably are finding it a bit useful too! Unfortunately for me I'm in a low-rez area and it is pretty much useless!
