I Voluntarily took driving course in late 2007 or 2008, but never took it to DMV to get points removed, because I thought it would be submitted automaticly by class.
Would I be able to submit a old certificate? Because I need to take another class this week, before I go to court for a speeding ticket.
Thanks in advance...I tried to do searches on Google, didnt find anything

I'm a AAA member, and AFAIK, if you attend a AAA class, it's submitted automatically. Part of their service or whatever. They still print out copies of the certificate for non-AAA members though.
I'd just call the DMV tomorrow and ask. IIRC the certificate is good for 3 years before it expires.

Gah! I may be wrong. Found a brochure for NY state...
Read this: http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/broch/c32a.htm
Wrong state for you, I know, but it has some good info, and may apply to you, at least partially.
I may be confusing the insurance rate reduction side of it with the points reduction side.
Apparently, the agency that issues the class is supposed to contact the DMV on your behalf for point reduction within 10 weeks.
However, if your insurance company offers an insurance rate reduction, you have to submit it yourself within 90 days.
It says you can only take the course for point reduction once every 18 months. However, you're covered for 36 months (3 years) under the reduced insurance rates.
So, technically whoever you took the course with back in '06/'07 should have submitted the course for a point reduction. If they didn't (as they are required to, at least in NY state), then I don't see why you can't get it applied now. Definitely worth checking out with your DMV when they open up tomorrow.

Ah, its cool its not the end of the world if not, but 10 points off the record would be nice. Cant remember exactly when I took the course anyway. I for sure need to take a class within the next week, to remove points. I got my 2nd speeding ticket within a couple of years, and officer told me I have 9 points...so I got to do something about it before June, 16th(Court Day)
In VA, DMV is closed on Sundays
lol...your a electrofied what do you expect?
Actually this is Electrofied. He used to post here all the time, and people got us mixed up all the time.
But you got the idea!
As you may notice, I have a tendency to post, and then edit my post like 10x afterwards... I'm a little OCD like that. Who says lightning never strikes the same place twice?!
