To Chicagoland 4/11 - Back from 4/14

Here's a headsup for ya'll... be on the lookout from the Silver Bullet MSRT8 enroute to Chicagoland tomorrow. We'll be heading diagonally across OH (basically US33, and then pick up US30 around Lima. Then across northern IN until we pick up I65 at Merrillville. Then to I80/90, I294 and I290.

Going to celebrate the first birthday of Alivia, grand daughter extraordinaire...

I don't think it's more than 15 miles. CMJ is a shop that's getting really heavy into our cars right now... I'll be there to pick up my car for a coupel hours saturday. no worries if you don't have time :-)

Yeah I know Fondy... but this weekend it is for us. Wife is flying out of O'Hare on Monday morning, standby (I hope she get's there sometime Monday) to be with her parents for a couple of weeks at least. Her dad had a hemoragic (sp) stroke a couple weeks ago, and he mom is going to have cataract surgery next week. They are going to need a caretaker for a while.

Her dad is doing ok, but there was vision impact and some personality effects that are beginning to show themselves. So she has to go and I have to come back. Just the things life throws at ya some times.

I remember we exchanged baby pics last year and I've enjoyed seeing how Brooke has developed... that "pull the blanket" video was hilarious!

Looks like 22 miles south of us one way by MapQuest. So that would take a couple hours to round trip and have some decent chat time... we'll see, but probably unlikely.

I know we talked about you coming up this weekend for family and the other stuff you got going.But if you get a chance you'll have to make a leasurly trip up this way. Keep an eye on the Great Lakes section.
Hopfully thou you can get out to the OHIO thing.

Well, we made it!

Probably saw more LXs of all flavors during the drive yesterday than in any previous trip up this way. That was cool. Most were in the opposite lanes, but we ran behind and in front of a Golden Linen 300C for several miles... don't think the guy ever looked at us. I was a little confused because I thought GL was a 2007 color, but the sat. antena on the top was the old-style ('05?) type kind of tall and submarine looking vs. the more flat version.

The best LX we saw was an Inferno Red magnum RT with white stripes up the side and RT taken out of the stripes at the front quarter panel. Passed us as we were talking on U-connect somewhere within 10 miles west of Valpariaso (sp?), IN. Didn't get a chance to wave or give a thumbs up, but I saw it coming in the rearview mirror and got a look at the side after they had passed my driver's window. I was doing the limit plus 3 approx. It was doing considerable better... I'd say +8 maybe.

If it was someone on here... I apologize... would have like to run with ya a bit, but not at that speed.
