    Can somebody please run this VIN number

    Its is for a 65 mustang that I am helping one of my buddies rebuild. Its got the A engine in it and we are trying to figure out what the orginial color of the block was. Thanks for anybody that can help

    both 200 & 289 had gloss black blocks & heads. if it is a 200 then the oil pan will also be black and the air cleaner and valve cover will be red. 289's had gold air cleaner and valve covers. High performance 289's had chrome air clearner and valve covers. I have the duplicolor paint numbers if you need them.
