I was over at my friends house last night and my car was parked outside of his house in the street right infront of his. We heard what sounded like tires squealing but shrugged it off because if we ran outside for every little noise we would both be cross country material. He lives in a nice neighborhood that is about 50/50 college kids to families. Well when I went to leave last night, as I was walking to my car, I saw skid marks on the pavement and walked around the back of his car to see that it had been hit. The trunk, rear quarter panel, and rear drivers door were completely wrecked. The rear left tire was pushed forward about 8 inches making the car undriveable because the lower control arm was bent at a 45 degree angle. There was a bearing, micellaneous nuts, washers, pieces of metal, and axle grease all over the ground where the accident was that leads me to beleive that they broke their CV axle when they hit the car. They couldnt have been going more than 25mph because it was right around a corner. I am thinking they came around the corner, hit this pothole that is about 2 feet across and 8-10 inches deep and then their front right tire slammed head on into his rear right. His car is a 09 Mazda 6 and had to get towed away with an estimated 9000 dollars in damage. The cop last night was trying to get us to confess that the accident didnt happen there and that he hit something drunk and is trying to scam the insurance company. This is my absolute worst nightmare....walk out to your car and see it mangled....awful.
wow that sucks.... coudld you track the oil on the ground to a broken down car?
Techco CAI, SRT MAX.
What, the cop couldn't SEE all the parts and fluids ON THE GROUND right there?!
Sorry to hear about it, hope you get it resolved soon!![]()

"I reject your conjecture and substitute my actual experience."
We scoured the neighborhood thinking the car didnt make it very far but we never found anything. We were slightly under the influence so we CSI'd the scene and could tell exactly what happened from the tire marks on the ground. I said to the cop "Its obvious what happened here...." and went through the whole story and he said " Its obvious huh? Ive never seen this much damage without any broken glass. Some people hit another car when they are driving drunk and play it off as a side swipe when they sober up. Infact, most "side swipes" are people damaging their own cars for insurance money." At this point I had to walk away so I didnt get tasered.
Geesh, I hate that for YOU!!!

Sometimes.......cops piss me off.
Good luck getting it all taken care of. Hope they find the douchebag that did it.
Politically correct is for people too scared to say what they really think.
Sorry to hear about this - hope you get your car fixed soon!
So let me get this straight.
The cop believes your friend backed into something at a high rate of speed, drove the car home with the broken parts, and are trying to play it off as if someone hit him?
All because there is no glass?
^ Pretty much. He gave him a Exchange of Driver Information paper with the at fault information blank and the insurance guy said thats all he needs. Insurance is taking care of it but the cop was garbage. It was 2:30am and it was highway patrol. Obviously to pull a shift like that you are a bottom of the barrel cop.
First I would cry, then I would probably kick and punch the car (where it was already damaged), then I would call the cops
had a handfull of good experiences with cops
had a handfull of bad experiences with cops.
probably a good chunk more good than bad.
but the worst experience ive ever had with the police was in B/CS.
there is a racket going on up there and almost all the cops are crooked.
the ex chief of police now teaches at Blinn College and was telling my old room mate about how he retired because he was so sick of the way the "new blood" was behaving.
so glad im not in that town anymore.
