No, not yet. They are saying toxicology reports should be in by the middle of the week. They just had Linda and Daniels funeral this past week; with Chris' soon to come. In my eye; if the tests come back showing steroids in his system; it still don't prove steroids were the cause, and the WWe and the whole Wrestling World is getting a bad rap for this. I think the media is scrutinzing the WWe; for the simple fact that it is Wrestling, and that its fake. Everytime a wrestler dies no matter what happens they quickly jump the gun and blame STEROIDS! They dont do that with pro-sports like Football, Baseball, or Basketball. Hell; there was even reports making a big deal over Barry Bonds this year over him breaking a homerun record, and how great it would be; when just the past couple years they scrutinzed him and baseball for him taking "steroids".
There is a difference between Wrestling and Sports. Wrestling is privately owned and performed on the road over 300 days a year. They dont have to follow the same guidelines as Pro-Sports. There is no Union, or a Wrestling Association; where every company has to follow any specific guideline. Every one of those performers have to perform 3-4 times a week; injured or not. If they werent taking pain medication or "steroids" the performers would be retired or dead in their 20's.
Pro-Sports get time off of their schedule; to rest from playing. Its called the off-season; something wrestlers dont get.

DD... but thats part of the point...
Pro Wrestlers is closer to circus perfomers then pro players... They go year round, they are abused by the ringmaster, then if they are injured.. they are left at the last stop...
Im not a anti-steroid guy, to me they are just another med... However, when abused, there are serious side effects... Rage being one of them.
But when you look at the fact that for a relatively small number of wrestlers (less then 5k I bet), the fact that 104 wrestlers have died from suicide/murder suicide/heart attack something is seriously wrong in the ring...

The pain is brutal, they are doing some amazing acts... but its killing them...

BTW.... the WWE is NOT privately owned... The WWE is a public company traded on I believe the NASDAQ

But HAWKXP; the media didnt scrutinze the MLB like they are Vince McMahon, and the WWE. The media is having a field day with this because they have some un-known issue with the Wrestling business. They havent done this when Barry Bonds', or Mark McGuire's issue came up, nor any other player for that matter.
Just a little article that was in the local paper. The number of deaths may be why WWE is being put under the microscope. Unfortunately the article was not clear on the causes of the deaths it just mentions the hign number of wrestlers dying befor the reach 50.
A couple weeks ago there was an editorial in the D&C about pro wrestling &the steroid/drug problem related to its wrestlers. This article wasmotivated by the event of Chris Benoit killing his wife & 7 year old son &then, 2 days later, killing himself. One part of the article reads asfollows. I'm not a fan anymore, but I used to be. I'm not sure how many ofyou were or are either, but see how many names below you recognize."But wrestling fans will not soon forget Benoit because while thecircunstances of his death were unanticipated, the fact of it was not. Forthose of a certain age, witnessing the deaths of favorite wrestlers hasbecome a grisly commonplace.""So far in 2007, Bam Bam Bigelow, Mike Awesome & Sensational Sherri havedied. None was even 50 years old. If you think back to the wrestlers fromyour childhood Saturday mornings, you'll be chilled at the list of the dead:Crash Holly, Kerry Von Erich, Owen Hart, Adrian Adonis, Yokozuna, BrianPillman, Davey Boy Smith, Andre the Giant, Rick Rude, Bruiser Brody, MissElizabeth, Big Boss Man, Earthquake, Curt Hennig, Junkyard Dog, Hercules,Big John Studd & Road Warrior Hawk.""And here's the scary part: None of those wrestlers lived past 46 years ofage.""The causes of death vary widely, of course. Andre the Giant, for instance, had acromegaly. But a striking number of the deaths were related to steroidor drug use."

A lot of them were just fat and out of shape, the heart can only take so much (Andre, bam bam, earthquake, yokozuna; and Owen hart was an accident as a result of a stunt, just like the stunt that Fu***d up austin's back for good)

THe problem with that... is yes.. they are fat and out of shape... But the steriods crank and coke that the environment fosters wasnt helping...
ANd when they leave the world... now they get way out of shape because they have no activity.
I miss Brutas the BarberWOnder where he ended up...

Neither did Vince! The media has no right to blame the company for a personal problem!
He runs a gym and is still wrestling.

Anabolic steroids were not found in Chris Benoit. Synthetic testosterone steroids were found. No ILLEGAL steroids were found.

Man I got TORE up over at another forum when I posted the initial notice Benoit had died and the subsequent news releases on the the circumstances behind it all. I am glad to see an open minded discussion on this issue here. It was previously stated by his Doc (yes he's under investigation as well but ....) that he was and has been treating Benoit for low testosterone levels resulting from previous steroid abuse. So to that end it isn't surprising to see he had levels of it in his system. The disturbing facts are the tox reports on his son and wife.
Sad fact is that we will never know what drove this man to commit these horrific acts. People close to him can't understand it so how can we as the viewing public even begin to. His 20 plus year career will disappear into oblivion and he will forever be known only as the double murderer of his wife and son and nothing more. In many ways that is regrettable, but it will be. The WWE has all but erased him from their minds and try to distance them selves from him farther ever day. Yes for the steroid cloud, but also for what he did.
Just hope God gets it all sorted out.....
