Worse fuel economy with CAI

I just installed my Airaid CAI. Now I cant help but press the happy pedal down to hear the motor roar. The only problem is that I also watch my fuel economy go down but damn is it sweet. My 3 year old thinks its cool cause makes riding in the Mag even more fun. Of course the wife is tellin me to grow up cause she still doesnt get the whole Mag thing, so thats the next mod......jk.

my wife really doesn't get it either. My dad (65 years old) just grins from ear to ear. He said it reminds him of the muscle cars from the late 60's.


After a while you will settle down a bit and you may even see the gas mileage come back. LOL!

How about personal health too? After I got my AEM, I kept rolling the window down for take offs to hear it. I got a cold.

That is WICKED mokey! I am still debating about gettng the CAI for our Magnum...so it makes it sound meaner eh? I am drooling just thinking about it sounding meaner!

My kids already love the growl of the stock exhaust on the Magnum! I am still back and forth on the brand of CAI! The wife always tells me to grow up when I get behind the wheel of the Magnum, she is growing weak at the thought of more mods for the Magnum!

I was a little skeptical but the sound is great and it just looks cool. The good thing is that when just cruising you dont hear a difference but lay into it and you know. It feels a tad quicker as well. I know the wife is not into it but I did overhear her tellin her girlfriend that the car is very fast so I think she is just in the closet. I let her drive it.....once and she likes the way it drove so slowly ever so slowly I will make her come around. Exhaust is on the way as well as throttle body spacer and chip (not sure which one). CAI is a cheap and easy mod to do so I definetly recommend it. As far as health bennefits roll the windows down (weather permitting) and breathe in the fresh air and then mash the throttle.
