    Wire covers/sheathing/whatever you call them

After seeing someone using this flexible tubing to wrap wires in their engine compartment I was inspired and have decided to do the same. With two packages I wrapped everything you see in these pics. Now, the big concern is that I am not sure what I wrapped. After 30 minutes of freeway driving nothing is melted and nothing caught fire so I didn't wrap anything dangerous (I think). Hopefully the experts here can let me know if I have done something stupid. I kind of like the look. I will be buying replacement caps and other components to paint shortly.

Feedback and warnings would be appreciated.

As long as you keep it away from the exhaust manifold it should be fine. Looks nice btw.

Thanks for the naming. I am actually trying to get some various parts from MPSC for painting and most people would probably cringe at some of my descriptions.

I expect Ted to gun me down in the street if he ever meets me after the pain I am putting him through for this order.

Yeah, Ted figured it out too. I just wish I could get some of this stuff across without sounding so ignorant about it.

Very nice Ikarus! The red really looks cool. I'm still trying to find the wrap around sleeves in blue, but having some difficulty.
    Nice mods man.
    Take care,
    Christopher

Actually I did that first and had it off for additional painting. I had painted it Red and Black, but Duplicolor now has a Crystal Effex paint that is supposed to make semi-flat colors glitter a bit. This was before the Effex paint, no pics on the new version yet since paint is still pending. I actually painted it before not knowing that the middle section came off and the paint was iffy at the transition points even with my poor taping attempts.
