Exclamation Vertical Door Kits and KW Coilover Kits

Vertical Doors- I want to do it, I have always dreamed of doing it... But which kit is the best? So far I am really liking the LSD kits... But the cost is GAWD AWFUL!!!

I have seen them as low as $1400 but rarely... usually they tend to be in the $1800-$2200 range.

My questions... Are there other manufactures out there with bolt on kits (No welding or cutting other than the fender tuck) that are cheaper price-wise but have the same quality?

Why are these kits so damn expensive?

KW Coilovers- I want to get rid of my Eibach Sportline springs and stock shocks and struts and move to an adjustable coilover system both front and rear.

What are the differences between the Variant 1 and Variant 2 setups? Are both ride height adjustable at all four corners?

Are their any other adjustable coilover setups available for the RT RWD Magnums?

Can they be installed without needing a spring compressor or special tools?

Who has the best price on what is available?

    Thank you,
    Jason Lasswell

Well I do not have a vert door kit but the one thing to make sure of is this. When the door is fully open/up, is it stable and soild? Make sure that it doesn't wiggle from side to side very easy.

I know that the LSD cost a ton but with my 2 cents, they make the best kit.

As for the other stuff.... I have no clue... LOL

    Thank you Bigal470

I spoke with a DUB rep at the Chicago auto show and he says to ONLY trust LSD for the vertical door kits. He says others have failed, doors fallen down on people causing injury, etc from almost every other brand. He says DUB has used them all and LSD is not only the best, but were the ones who created the concept. They supposedly did the design and fabrication work FOR Lamborghini.

Some may call it hokey, but I am still very much considering this mod. While it may be all over the place in CA or FLA, I have yet to see any in the state I live in... so I shouldn't run into that issue.

Furthermore I would suggest for the suspension to look into air-ride suspension. You can adjust your height on the fly and you'll get almost no body roll when you're driving it hard.

I like the idea of full height control.

I would pm Fatchance on this one. He has both the LSD and KWV2 and can give you the pro's and cons of it.

It may not be a Magnum, but it is an LX platform car out of Minnesota...

Thanks all... I appreciate the info.
FatChance is the one who got me hooked, however the pricing was a bit higher than other places for the LSD kit. I have to allow for install cost as well unless I want to get nuts and install them myself... With my luck I would be driving jeep style with no doors cause I screwed it all up. LOL

    Thank you again,

I'd love to know a little more detailed info about the KW V1 and V2 differences as well. I know Mopar was coming out with coilovers which I thought were supposed to be the Varient 1 model.
    Take care,
    Christopher
