    TommyZ Hoods


    I got so excited that I dont think I even posted this but I got this hood from Tommyz .... I REALLY liked the hood from the pictures and started buggin him bout the price and the particulars. Well he came through big time... I got the hood in 2 days after we got the financials straight... he promised a hood that would need very little work before going on the car. (honestly... I was thinkin... "riiiiiggghhht.... its a fiberglass hood, there aint no such animal as fiberglass...very little work... at least not in the same sentence in my world") LET ME TELL YA.... Very good shape when it arrived... very smooth...

    The update will be after my body man does the fitment which I dropped it Monday.... I pick it up today.... not with hood on but so I can use the car while the hood is being painted... I will post my bodymans thoughts later ... but from what I see.... WOW


    One thing I must say about Tommyz.... when I ordered the hood from him I asked about the fiberglass fitment ... well ... when I went in to see the hood... no...not on the car yet.. was just dropping the car off... MAN... I was amazed... but then... Tommy said that .... it was a very good job and shouldnt have to go through much. Well... just looking it over... ABSOLUTELY RIGHT... I mean... it looked like I could have taken it out the box and just bolted it right on... cept it was primered.

    The scoop... for those of you that are curious... came WITH the air channel all ready to dump air .. right in the area of your air filter... PLUS... the squirters... it comes with a mod to attach them to the wipers... impressive.

    I havent gotten the final word yet.... my bodyman does a very good job...so the next step...he will take the hood back off and paint it...so the next update ... I will have pictures... I forgot the camera to take pictures before the hood was on the car so ...I guess...just picture of before and after.

    Very nice . It's going to look great . Looking forward to the final picture's . Mean looking....aggressive as hell . Good to hear a nice TZ story.....I always loved his work . Great stuff......

    The center rib looks a little different than mine... Looks like there is a transition where the rib gets wider... is that pic from your hood?

    That is not a picture from my car... that is a picture that Tommy sent me so I could see what it looked like from another angle.

    He has 2 kinds... one with the transition you see in the picture and the other with no transition. Mine has a transition but when I saw it in primer .... it didnt look as out standing as the one in the pic I posted.

    Pictures of my car..... the latter part of this week... as soon as the paint happens and I get the camera going... I will post.

    Now I cant wait til spring... got my hood... but I definately aint doin the mags til the weather breaks... I should have waited for the hood but way too anxious...

    So after work I go pick up my car.....the hood finally finished ..... and now I guess you guys want the pictures... and here we go

    I got sunshine today when I brought it home.... cant wait...spring ...to show it with the wheels ... but for now..next step..replace the entertainment unit and get the fogs in...a tiny bit a lite under the hood...
