Swapped the steering wheel badge (properly)

Finally got rid of the last rams head.

Swapped out my steering wheel badge for a nice stainless steel NexusStudiosOnline.com badge. High quality and relatively easy to install.

Took about 30 minutes to disassemble the steering wheel cover to remove the old ugly rams head and swap this one on. Has built in tabs, no stick on stuff.

I doubt it will come loose from the steering wheel cover if it did deploy, but I don't worry about such things honestly. I run this car at the track at 123+ MPH, it's the least of my worries LOL

it looks real nice, and agree hate those ram heads, but i've seen air bags break collar bar, and break noses when they deploy, whats a missing eye or broke teeth.... but it looks good

I'd love to replace mine with the new Dodge logo...

For the above reasons I'm sticking with the RAM for now, hope I never have to use the airbag to begin with...

I did some looking around and it seems the badge stays put when the air bag deploys. The seam for deployment is under the badge and the cover flips up.

With as easy as the stock badge popped off (you can see it in the install video on my site) and as firmly as this new badge went on (large mushroom pins on the back) it's highly unlikely it would come off in an air bag deployment. I'm not gonna go test it though so take that for what it is.

Regardless, the plastic badge while a bit lighter than the metal one, but not by much, has sharp edges so it could do some damage to an eye itself if that's of concern.

Here's the stock one still on the cover after air bag deployment, but you gotta do what you're comfortable with. Me, I have bigger things to worry about in this car with the tail end wagging around at 60MPH getting on the highway LOL

I doubt that emblem is gonna come off... if it does you're worrying about larger issues.

Chrome plated hard plastic - vs - stainless steel .......... I don't think your head will be able to tell the difference at 500 mph!

Actually those things usually stay attached to the cover pretty good when the bags go off.

I've seen a blown bag in a yard and the original piece stayed with one half of the airbag cover - the one with the two rivets stayed attached.
