    rear wiper removal?

Has anyone looked INTO removing the rear window wiper?
I haven't looked at one up close yet, but I think its in the body not the window?
On my PT its in the glass... so removal was fairly easy, and I put a plastic plug in the hole with silicone, so I can easily go back...
I have done this on my PT Cruiser and really like how clean the back of the car looks now. I would never use it and think it clutters up the back of the car a bit...

you can see it here: no rear wiper

Yes, the rear wiper is in the body and it is not in the center which eliminates a clean coverup.

The motor is inside the liftgate but it shouldn't be very difficult to remove once the panels are off. If your still interested I can throw together a quick "How To" guide for removing the panels on the liftgate. As far as the hole goes I don't know what to tell you... if you can find a plug to fit it and you don't mind it being off center then this shouldn't be a big deal.

In the center of the tailgate about 4" down FROM the window is the Dodge Ram emblem. The wiper shaft comes out about two inches "northeast" of that emblem. The wiper arm goes off FROM there to the right.

    Jim,
How did you get your pictures to come in so clean? Can you please teach me?!

You could think about replacing the rear wiper with a backup camera, and make (or have made) a nice one-way lense cover that is wide enough to cover the camera hole, look good over the Dodge plate (if you plan on leaving it there) and be centered in the back.
