Problem with new headlights

Bought new OEM headlights from AAC which they've mounted the LED halos in - looks kick *ss and I get a lot of attention with them. Problem is that the light on the drivers side doesn't sit flush to the fender on the drivers side if I use both screws and the plastic rubber grommet - now I don't use the grommet but some sticky paste which makes the light sit in place but flexes in/out if I touch it/drive fast.

What could be the reason for the light not fitting 100%? The passenger side light looks and sits perfect.

theres a prong that sets into the female on the car that needs to snap into place on the fender side of the light

...maybe the female part is broke or the prong is?

Female part is alright, and when I click the prong of the light into the fender, the light doesn't sit flush with the fender.
