    painting interior

So I went to a body shop today and got a quote to paint the interior pieces:
    steering wheel inserts
    gauge rings
    radio bezel
    shift knob
and the chrome piece around my shifter

    they quoted me $550
    to take everything apart
    paint it
    and put it back together

    This seems very high!

    Am I right?

What have you guys paid to do something like this?

Seems VERY High. I would take the time and take out the parts I wanted painted and take them to the painter.

I did mine recently. I took the parts off and took them to the painter. They charged me $180 at the dealer for prep, paint, and labor. It's easy to take the parts off.
    Rest In Peace Ron...

Mine cost less than 20 bucks...all I paid for was paint, I did the labour myself.

$20 sounds about right ---- $550 sounds like someone has an extremely high opinion of their work

$550 US dollars or Peso's? Sounds like someone has taken you as a sucker! Shop around or do it yourself.
It's not a hard job at all.......unless you're a real clutz with a spray can.
