Yeah...I feel like one.....
When I received this window sill it looked like a very simple mod. Remove two screws, pull off old sill, install new sill, tighten two screws, then celebrate. It is not like that.
First, I have not managed to install the "special" things. If you look at the door the process starts really simple. At the back of the front doors or the front of the back doors on the inside at the same height as the sill you can see a single screw at the right height to attach to the sill. That is the easy to find screw. Then you look along at the same height and don't really see another screw. The reason is, I am convinced, that this screw has decided that it should not be found. I actually think that it might be in the metal part of the door itself. I am not prepared to venture this deep into the door myself. I am probably going to be stuck paying for this install to be done professionally.
For anyone interested in trying to find this screw for me here is what I know:
I have only worked with the back passenger door so far. The first screw you can see as soon as you open the door on the left side almost immediately. The second one, according to the screw point on the DUB sills I have not installed is located at that same height but literally right in the center of the plastic triangle shape moulding on the door. When I removed the door panel the only thing in this area is a tape covered hole in the door and the actual metal part of the door. I cannot see the screw through the tape so I am not confident enough to remove the tape.
For me this mod is done for now. Maybe some other time I will get to it or have the dealer quote an install price.
I would like to thank everyone for their attempts at helping and specifically Buckweet who actually took time to call and try to talk me through it.
Final word %$(%)*#$%)(*#$%)(*#$%)(*#$%)(#$*%)*#$%. Time to go to bed.
