Question Need help with DUB window sill install

Someone had posted about an ebay auction selling the DUB window sill seperately. I went ahead and bought them but the seller did not provide install instructions. Anyone have any clue on how these are installed? I will post pics when I am done of course.

    Installing Illuminated Door Scuff Plates

If you need a pic of the instructions let me know, I'll email em to you.
I have the Chrysler Wing sills, and they cam with a one sheet instruction manual. Shoudl be the same as the DUB ones
I'm gonna do mine this weekend using the link above as a model.

Disregard: I thought you typed "Door Sill" not "Window Sill", sorry

It's is really easy to do. Remove the door panel, roll the window down all the way and there is one screw on each end. Take those out and it slides to the back of the car to come off. To get to the screws you have to remove the plastic molding around the window on the inside. This is the part that cover up where the mirrors are on the inside. No screws, that I remember, to get this off. But it is a PITA to put back on. Don't worry it is pretty flexible. Hope that helps. Wish I had pics for ya.

No problem. It was still a great write up. If I had access to that when I bought mine I would not have paid the dealer to install it! Thank you.

Ok, so I went out to try this and I almost immediately slightly broke a door clip. I am really surprised that there is not an easier way to remove these. I have ordered replacements for all clips (Yes, I am super paranoid) and when they arrive I will continue this install. Sux.

At Ikarus's request, i will post the door pannel removal instructions.

    1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
    2. Unsnap and fold back the screw cap below the trim panel pull handle to access and remove the screw (5) that secures the panel (2) to the pull handle bracket.
    3. Unsnap and fold back the screw cap within the interior remote handle recess of the trim panel to access and remove the screw (4) that secures the panel to the inside of the door (1). The screw cap on the sedan opens from the top, and the wagon opens from the bottom.
    4. Remove the four screws (6) that secure the bottom and front lower corner of the trim panel to the inside of the door.

    5. Remove the two push pins (1) at the rear of the trim panel and one push pin (1) at the front edge of the trim panel

Removal instructions for the pins above:
    1. The push pin fastener is in the open position (1) when the center pin is pull outward approximately 2 mm. Then the push pin fastener is ready to be used.
    2. To install push pin place it into position, and push the center pin in flush with the head of the push pin to lock it into position (2).
    3. To remove the push pin fastener, push the center pin inward approximately 2 mm to release push pin fastener (3).

    6. Pull the trim panel (2) away from the inside of the door far enough to disengage the locator pins near the top of the panel from the door, then lift the rear of the panel upward far enough to disengage the interior door latch lock link and knob (1) from the clearance hole at the upper rear corner of the panel.

    7. Reach between the top of the trim panel (3) and the inside of the door shell to unsnap the plastic clip that secures the end of the interior door handle latch release link (1) to the handle lever (2) and disengage the link from the handle.

    8. Pull the trim panel (1) away from the inside of the door shell far enough to access and disconnect the door wire harness (4) connectors from the power window/lock/mirror switches (2), the door module (6), and the door courtesy lamp (5) as the vehicle is equipped.

    9. Disengage the retainers (3) that secure the door wire harness to the inside of the trim panel.

    10. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the door

Ok...paranoia is kicking in. On step 6 where you disengage the locator pins I have a question for anyone that knows. I have removed all the pushpins and the screws. I am currently working on the back door. On the top of the door at the back I see what looks like a metal clip equivalent to the kind that holds the grill in place. Do you literally just pull on the top panel until that pops or is there a prying process for this? I tried to pry by pushing the metal clip away from and towards the door and it moved but would not actually open. Any help is appreciated.

Still hoping for some advice on removing that door panel before I accidentally break something.

Man you are paranoid. Just pull on it man, if you break the clip they arfe like .24 a piece. I just removed my rear panel today and noticed that clip too, all of the push clips run across the top of the door, below the window. On the back there are only two of the push pins and both are towards the back of the door.

    Angry

    Yeah...I feel like one.....

When I received this window sill it looked like a very simple mod. Remove two screws, pull off old sill, install new sill, tighten two screws, then celebrate. It is not like that.

First, I have not managed to install the "special" things. If you look at the door the process starts really simple. At the back of the front doors or the front of the back doors on the inside at the same height as the sill you can see a single screw at the right height to attach to the sill. That is the easy to find screw. Then you look along at the same height and don't really see another screw. The reason is, I am convinced, that this screw has decided that it should not be found. I actually think that it might be in the metal part of the door itself. I am not prepared to venture this deep into the door myself. I am probably going to be stuck paying for this install to be done professionally.

For anyone interested in trying to find this screw for me here is what I know:

I have only worked with the back passenger door so far. The first screw you can see as soon as you open the door on the left side almost immediately. The second one, according to the screw point on the DUB sills I have not installed is located at that same height but literally right in the center of the plastic triangle shape moulding on the door. When I removed the door panel the only thing in this area is a tape covered hole in the door and the actual metal part of the door. I cannot see the screw through the tape so I am not confident enough to remove the tape.

For me this mod is done for now. Maybe some other time I will get to it or have the dealer quote an install price.

I would like to thank everyone for their attempts at helping and specifically Buckweet who actually took time to call and try to talk me through it.

Final word %$(%)*#$%)(*#$%)(*#$%)(*#$%)(#$*%)*#$%. Time to go to bed.
