My New paint job for my SRT-8 Maggie

So 3 weeks ago I noticed a small dent in my hood (F%%#, Dammit, $$%T#$%#$%$#)

I got to thinking as I stared at it for hours on end trying to figure how it got there and who I needed to Harm for causing me this pain.

I thought of this picture and a brilliant idea came to mind:

I tried to make it myself but it didn't turn out so good:

So I asked for some Photoshop help:
    http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=29485

And Tommy Z Designs offered his services (I thought that was totally cool since it was his picture that inspired me in the 1st place.)

He took the idea he had (the above pic) and the ideas it spawned and came up with this:

I have made some small modifications to this picture and dropped off my Magnum at the paint shop this morning and will have it on Thursday night.

    Mods Done:

    1. The Center piece of the grill will be left red and the red will continue up the hood on the center raised area to the eventual resting place of my shaker hood.

    2. The corner silver accent pieces on the Magnum will be painted Black to match the hood.

    3. The headlights will be given eyelids in red

    4. The Fog Light bezels will be painted red.

    5. The Factor One LED tail lights will be painted red around the outside where they are black.

    6. The grill will be removed and taped off on the front to keep the front black. From the back the honey comb of the grill will be painted red so that when you look at the grill from directly in front it will be black but from the side it will be red inside.

    7. The hood/ front grill/ bumper/ sides of the vehicle will be clear coated with a red metallic fleck to match the factory one.

I know this is long but I am bored at work and wanted to write something.

Nope, I had it added and it is staying!!!

I really like the look of the Magnum with the Roof Rack and since almost 99.999999% of other SRT-8s will not have it (not a factory option) it makes mine special.

Ahhh, to each his own. I think it takes away from the lines.

The paint will look good though, can't wait to see it.

I just really hope when the painter takes the tail lights off to paint them red he doesn't drop that wing nut inside the fender.

I am thinking of doing this or the reverse (black inside the spokes instead of the spokes)

    Red,
You have to do the wheels like that in your pic! Those look great!
    Take care,
    Christopher

No one is going to miss seeing you come down the road. Really a different look. Stopped by my local customizer's shop yesterday to show him my lowered Mag (Mopar's KW) and he told me he was going to two tone his wife's Mag next week.

He mentioned something I had not thought of. He said that all trim was going to be removed because the entire car has to be clear coated. Just masking off those areas will not allow the clearcoat to "wrap" around all the edges.

Please rethink the roof rack. Like so many others, I believe it just makes your Mag look more like a Pacifica.

Can't wait to see the finished product, it's gonna look sick!!!!! The wheels you gotta do as in the pic and if it was me I would paint the SRT on the wheels to match the orange color of your car. Keep us posted.
The mod List is getting to the point that its just to long to post. So if you wanna know whats in it, just ask?

I opened a Poll on the topic of powdercoating my wheels or not:

    Let your opinion be known:

Should I powercoat my wheels with new Paint Job??
