    my $3.00 mod....

got my interior (headliner, rear deck, door inserts, and A,B,C pillars) done in Black suede back in Feb..

I then painted the overhead console and rear grab handles black to match..

one of the things that has bugged me since is the door trim is still tan..

so yesterday I bought a $3.00 bottle of black tennis shoe polish...

I was a little worried it might not work, so I applied it to part of the molding that is hidden behind the dash/door trim
applied it and waited about 2 hours for it to firmly dry..

it doesn't come off.. the trim is some kind of felt material and it absorbed the shoe polish like a sponge..

so I did all 4 doors..

    much much better..

Wow, nice match. From the picture it looks like they were done out of the same material!

If it is a polish and not a dye, be careful of it rubbing off on anything.

doesn't seem too. it was a bottle of liquid black tennis shoe "shine and wax" got it at the grocery store.. KIWI brand.. it's not a paste, but a liquid, so probably a Dye as you said..

I wet it with a spray bottle today to test it and wiped it with a cloth, nothing came off.. so the felt or whatever it is absorbed it well and it seems to be permanent

    and yeah it matches perfect..

far as I know and can tell it doesn't.

the 3 pillar covers were removed, the suede cut and stitched, then glued to the pillars covers.

so there is no interference with the pop clips for the air bags..
it's basically a cover that is glued with upholstery glue to the plastic.

here are some more pics of my interior so you can see:
