i need some gauge face opinions?
i want to get new black cat gauge faces with lighted needles but unsure what colors to go with. im looking at
1: black faces with red numbers and blue needles
2: black faces with blue numbers and red needles
3: white faces with red numbers and blue needles
4: white faces with blue numbers and red needles
lets get a vote

I vote for #2.
TBH I think if you're spending money on custom gauges, it's best to go with black rather than white mainly because different colored LEDs look better on black faced gauges. Also, the OEM gauges are white with a hint of tan, so what's the point of plopping down $200 on some custom gauges which look similar to the one's you've already got on your car?
Here are some images to jog your mind:

IMO the red numbers are a little too painful to look at for a long time. The blue is a soothing background, and the needles *pop* out just right.

nice, really like the blue numbers with red pointers, i was also thinking maybe to save around $ 130, maybe doing the blue gel sheets behind the oem faces with red pointers, what ya think?

The way I look at it, since you're going to have to disassemble the gauge cluster, might as well switch out whatever you can while it's all apart. Now, if you really really like the OEM gauge face, then you should stick with them.
I personally like black and stainless steel gauges, but that's just my opinion
White looks standard.
I'd figure that a GEL sheet to change the color would be easier than swapping out the LEDs. However I can't comment much about that since I haven't done this mod yet!

yeah i think if im going to take it all apart, im going to do it right and get new gauge faces with the lit pointers
thanks for the opinion

now its between this one

or this one
-
either one with red lit needles

#2 with red needles FTW! The first one looks so outdated compared to the second.
-
true, wish someone had a pic of one install and lit

This was a really lazy quick PS rendering, but it should give you an idea of what it looks like. I'm sure someone on here has these gauges, they'll post pics that exceed this crappy image:

I got lazy and didn't do the fuel or temperature mainly because it was starting to annoy me.

on our honeymoon we had a Mustang vert and it had similar font to the last photo and I could change colors, it was pretty cool.
headlights however on the car totally uberly sucked. I'm talkig 1991-1996 Caprice suck as in dangerous to drive in.
Weird thing is the 1990 and below Caprice (boxy style) had better light output.

they also have it in red, by the way this is going in an infernO red magnum

I think it depends on whether or not you plan on changing all of your interior LEDs. If you plan on changing them to red, then go with the red gauges. If you plan on going blue, then go with the blue gauges. If you plan on sticking with the stock green color, then go with whichever color you like better.
Even though your car is red, blue interior lighting won't look bad at all. New cars, red or not, have blue lighting!

yeah not planning on changing the interior lighting
