    It may not be done at the same time. In Maryland emmissions is not part of the safety inspections. Its done every 2 years fully independant of when your tags expire or anything that has to do with the MVA.

    Are you sure about this? I just moved to Harris county and was told that emissions testing is required every year. I think it varies by county. If it is not really required as I was lead to believe, on will come the headers!!

    jiffy lube didn't do nothing but the basics and plug in OBII port that was it

    Emmissions testing is each state and or county may vary. In Maryland there are a few counties that do not have emmissions testing. Your state/county/city may vary on if they do it and how they do it.

    You can still relocate your gas cap, you just keep the stock set up installed somewhere on your car. I moved my cap under the rear fender splash guard. If I need to smog it I still can. The gas cap and system has to be ventilated on these cars. So remember that when you are looking at doing something like this, I used a non vented cap inside the door jamb, but kept the stock cap and filler neck so the system would work properly.
