How much are the 6.1 covers and do they just bolt right on? Oh wait I also have the rats nest to deal with on top of my intake....

I have an 05 with all the wires on top. I have an engine cover almost done that breaths (lets the hot air out). If I can just find a piece of stainless wire mesh 8.5" x 12.5" I'll be done.
Basically I have cut the center out of the center cover and will sandwitch the wire mesh between the inner and outer. It will let all the heat out and should look very nice.

next a heat extractor at the rear cowl of the hood. it will only be visible from the drivers seat. it may dry out the wipers in a hurry, but i can live with that. this will let air flow in and out out the engine compartment. i should have an air cooled/water cooled engine.

i am not trying to fake a 6.1 hemi here. i wanted to open the intake manifold to the air flow under the hood for cooling purposes. the 6.1 covers only help hide the wire harness for the injectors and coilpacks.
*Very* nice, 65standard. Super sano installation.

Re. the "6.1L", one could always paint that out so that it would be much less obvious, if they felt like they were posing to have it on there. Makes a good conversation starter as is.

    Re: Drying out the wipers:

Get Silicon based wipers. They will say on them "Lifetime warranty". I got mine at Walmart of all places. The last set I had were on my last car and 2 years in the desert didn't show any signs of wear. If they can survive that I bet they can survive some extra heat.

(Besides: High temperature kitchen tools are made with silicon these days.)

    Wow, sweet!

Now all you need is an intake manifold off the 6.1 hemi
