Last night I had about an hour so I figured I would investigate the headlights after having viewed grinner's video (Thank You!) to see how the process would go, select the correct tools, and then work on it this weekend. I grab the ratchet set and try to figure out the best fit. Then ....are you ready....I drop the @#$%@#$%$#@%@#$%@#$@#$%@#$%@#$@$#% thing. Thus begins a desperate 45 minutes of various Macgyver style tools to get the thing out. After I retired ducttape stick, zip tie magnet, stick magnet, and other various tools I began to disassemble various covers under the car and finally got the stupid thing out. Hot and dirty I decided to go ahead and finish. I put everything together, lined it up again and dropped the *&(*&(*&*(& thing again! I got it out and decided to h*&*l with it I will change the stupid lights out now. I started with driver's side and basically followed the video's instructions. Saleensean provided not only the headlights but also the bulbs so the process was literally just disconnect wires and reconnect them. The first light took about 30 minutes since I was super paranoid. The second light took 10 because I was tired and pi***ed off at that point. I am glad I did the mod and got to learn a lot more about the underside of the car.
I also installed some "V8 Magnum"' badges acquired from Ebay that I really think work. I am getting my rims powdercoated this week and I am painting the calipers this weekend and adding chrome accent to bumpers whenever they get here from Ebay. Then I can somewhat safely say that I will have finalized my exterior mods.
Lookin good, you have the racing stripe how about some racing wheels and tires. You know you will never be done with mods as long as you hang out with us.
