Any LEDs work for the interior lighting?

A while back I (and a bunch of other people) got these LEDs for our interiors and license plates. Since then the 194 LEDs slowly started to flicker and eventually stopped working. They went out after about a month or three after I installed mine, and same for the other guys. The other bulbs worked just fine and still work now.

What I want to know is if anyone has anything that they have that has worked for a long time. Around a year or more. 194

Some of mine lasted a good 3 months, then they went out. Before I just on the new ones with the heat protection I'm going to wait and see if anyone else has had any issues.

I replaced all my interior lights (map , rear doors , hatch) with the blue LED's from autolumination.com about a 8 mos to a year ago. The one over my passenger rear door did go out after a while , but the others have been fine. I turn them off with the dimmer switch most of the time before starting the vehicle though. I don't remember the exact ones I got , but they were under $60 for the whole set.

I have the ones from Autolumination - have them for about 9 to 12 months with no issues. Here are the ones I have in the rear lights

You have to get the LED protectors that they sell and wire it into your wiring. Simple to do. I did and have not had one problem since. I was about to give up on them, until I emailed them and asked what the heck is going on since I had been through numerous ones....Scroll down the page once you click the link.

So you snip the hot wire (+)? and then use the LED snap the LED protectors to finish the connection? I haven't been in there for a while, can you just pull some slack wire out to get to them?

^^Exactly...It really is not that hard to do, and I have not had one single problem since then.

I just turn mine off before starting and they are still good. It's been over a year. I'm getting ready to install all my old Magnum's LEDs into the new Magnum. The only bulb that didn't last was the 194 I put in for the license plate light. I think I burned it out at the track when I started it with the parking lights on (and therefore the license plate light on). If I hadn't done that I think it would have been fine. This is my theory anyway.

Did you have slack on the wire to pull it from the housing?

I don't know much about wiring, but from what I read on the LED protectors starting the car with the lights on kills the LEDs...I haven't had any problem with anything but the 194s. I think I'll try the protectors and hope to goodness that I don't have to rewire some of the car.
