Any ever thought of color matching the inside wheel wells?

Just wondering if anyone has thought of or has already done it. The inside wheel wells always look bad...they are lighter black and stick out...just wondering if I had them painted and cleared black if they would hide better. I know...I need 20" wheels and to lower it and that would take care of most of it! I often put tire dressing on there, but it doesn't last forever.
    What do you guys think?
    Take care,
    Christopher

I don't know. A lot of sand, dirt and grime gets thrown around the wheel well. Might look good for a short while, but after time....it may look worse.

I am going to say that I haven't seen it yet, but I bet it would BIT$H to have it. I think it would look cool, but with all the rocks and crap that get's throwning up by the tires the paint wouldn't last i think.

Just a thought, but how about something like the Rhino liner spray in. It would be tough and hold up to rocks and sand. I believe some brands are able to color match.

Um, I am thinking NO... as others have said, with all the mud, dirt, sand, rocks etc bouncing around in there, you are asking for trouble!

Now that sounds like it could work. It would be durable and shouldn't chip off. Good idea....Hmmmm

JMO, but I think color match would look like your painter didn't mask properly......wheel wells should be black

I would think that the biggest problem would be getting some of those things to ad-hear to the wheel wells. It needs to be flexible. I think it would be best to leave it black and use tire shine on it when you wash it.

Back in the day, I had a roommate who had an early 60's (new then) black 409ci/409hp Chevy Biscayne with the body raised and 2" black and white stripes painted on the fender liners (were they plastic then?). He claimed them to be relatively low maintainence even in SE Michigan winters. It was a daily driver; he just kept it clean and when necessary took off the wheels, put down some masking tape and re-sprayed the liners. Believe me, everybody knew this car.
