    Added low tech DVD

Had a portable DVD player that I got for a Chrismas present a few years ago. A rainy day, and no honey dew projects. So I bent up a bracket and mounted it to the back of the console. I came out pretty good if I do say so. I will color match the paint job when I can get someone to go to home Depot with me (I'm color blind for real).
It's kind of like the slide brackets we used in the good old days for 8 track players. Now I'll have to get Moddin Art so that I can have it playing at the M&G.

In 2003 we put a flip-down in our new P/T Cruiser @ $850.00. Bought a better system for the Magnum last November @ $350.00. Gotta love technology. These are life savers on long haul trips for the kids and the parents.

I too have a lo-tech DVD, but I let DD (Darling Daughter) hold it on her lap with headphones. That way when she sits sideways or lounging in the corner ... she sees it just fine!
    Tracking is not a problem.

My daughter asked for a portable DVD player for our upcoming vacation, but I told her we already have one. My notebook PC. It even has a bigger screen.

That is too Funny. I did that last year had one that could flip and all you see is the screen. I put Velcro on the back and stuck it on the trunk liner. It was cool i ran the LX DVD and AC/DC it was a nice and something to do while sitting at shows.

We have twin Portable DVD players for our kids. They also have batteries for Airline use. I have a dual AC converter hooked into the console and they have kid storage (water bottles etc) and DVD holders strapped to the backs of front seats.
Have the same setup in the wifes car so we can use either car and just have to bring the DVD carrie with the DVD case, head phones and powersupplies. My eldest is responsible for setup and take down.
