ACC Radiator Shroud on a Charger

Anyone have one of these polished radiator shrouds on their Charger? It sure doesn't seem like mine wants to fit.

I've made three attempts and it seems like there's just no way it's going to work on my car.

I'm pretty sure it's not for the Magnum, but I'm wondering if it's for a 300 and they sent the wrong one. No way to tell without any sort of writing on the damn thing.

They provide a number for installation assistance with the piece.. Too bad they don't include a return shipping label..

They told me I must be trying to put it in wrong and that their installer will call me back.. hehe

I tried again to install this sucker last night and it really does appear that it had too much of an arch to it to fit like the instructions say. I even tried removing the rivets along the middle of the fascia to give myself more room to work.

The latch for the hood release, the part you push to release the hood, seems like it's too far right and not in the center of the opening..

This really shouldn't be this difficult...

Well, fits, but not like it's suppose to.. It bulges up in the center so much that if I close the hood, I'd have to stick something in there to push it down just to get the latch. On the far ends, the corners stick up in the front..

This isn't going to work if I paint it, since it would be rubbing the hood like a sob..

I sent pictures to ACC and they've acknowledged that there's a problem.

I'm going to have to carve up the fascia to be able to get the rivets back in..

I'm not a happy camper.

Removing the fascia rivets, here's how much it's flexed to be forced in...





Both front corners raise like this...



Now, if I want to put the rivets back in and accept the fact that it's going to rub like crazy on the under side of the hood, here's how off those rivet holes are....



The instructions clearly state, "Once inserted your panel should sit flat into the factory header and radiator support without forcing..." This is clearly not the case..
