HHP can get you the covers and the plastic mounting studs, the bolts you take off the 5.7 and just get new decrotaive ones the same size. the intake is plastic so if there a hair larger they will screw in tight.

Thank you very much. I'm looking to do the engine cover switch as I'm moving towards my suspension now and wanted something a bit neater (than no engine cover) with the DC Sports bar. I should have asked sooner as I just ordered high-flow cats from HHP. Ah well!

Okay, I've got the covers notched and fitted - only one question: what does everyone do with their breather hose? I'll post pics of the covers once I'm done (used a dremel with a sander tip to grind off the "6.1" letters - worked great), but right now I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle it. I was thinking of replacing it with silicone hose and routing it between the coil packs, but I can't seem to find a good distributer of the hoses I'm looking for. Suggestions?

    Thanks -Brian

Update: I used bondo fiberglass body filler to smooth a couple of dips left by the removal of the "6.1L" characters and hope to paint it this weekend. I picked up some smaller diameter fuel line at Lowes that I'm hoping to use for the breather hose - I'm hoping that it'll run between the coil packs without kinking - wish me luck.

I was thinking Hemi orange for the covers (and coils) with black letters for the "HEMI". I've got a bright silver metallic R/T with flat black graphics and SRT wing. What do you guys think?

See, I really like those covers. I wish they were still available (for the 5.7L). Plenty of room for all the spark plug wire spaghetti.

Heres a couple links to some pics.

Are you planning on doing more of these? I know the last batch had some issues with the powdercoating (or I would already have a set... ).

I've actually got a set of GSM Half Covers that I bought a month ago. I tried installing them that day but couldn't figure out how the fit on after taking my stock engine cover off. Unfortunately I keep forgetting to work on it. I think I'm going to give it a try this afternoon. It looks like I have to remove the stock posts from the 5.7 engine cover. Anyone done this before that might be able to give me a few pointers?

Here are the covers I bought:
