    your weekend project

Ok, so it was relatively nice weekend in my part of the northeast, and I got some quality time with the Red Zeppelin! I let it sit in the sun so I could take off the side molding, and starting taking off the crap vinyl pinstripe as well. All of the posts about letting them warm up before working on the badges and trim, are totally right. I tried on before and it wasn't as warm - PITA. Also, I tried several adhesive removers and found that WD40 worked the best. I used a relatively coarse cloth and tried to move it around, like when you wax, because I found the adhesive getting gummed up in the rag. I only have a the 'magnum' badge and the dodge logo on the tailgate, and then I think I am done with removing factory stuff! Oh, and I washed and started waxing it today, haven't finished the wax process though.

So, what did everyone else do with their magnums this weekend?!

After a small struggle, I finished the chin spoiler mod on Saturday! Today, I just kept looking at it with pride!

    Take care,

I put the MOPAR foglight kit in my SXT. Has anyone ever mentioned how bad those instructions are? No problems on the install, just have to go get 'em turned on.

I installed the Borla 112 cat-back. Also installed some Xenon Krypton gas headlamp bulbs (low beams). High beam Xenons and CAI next week.

I'm going to my dealers new owner orientation on Tuesday. Everyone who attends gets a chance at a free car payment drawing. I hear attendence is always very low.
I'm leaving my wallet at home.

I was designated driver. Went to a local club with the wife and a couple of girls she works with. It was great getting out of a hot car with three hot women. People looked at me like I was a god or something. LOL, if they only knew!

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

I put on my new engine cover.

Did the glove box light on Friday.

Then added a pull handle to the rear hatch.

Hit the car wash Sunday to rinse off the pollen before going to my parents. Then hit the car wash again before getting back on the highway to rinse the dust off from the dirt road they live on. Now I have to wash the bugs off.
