Yesterday I'm setting in the car talking on the phone. The car is not running but im using the uconnect the evic is set on gas mpg. and as I talked the gas milage is going down. Before I got to work the mpg was 17, when I got off the phone it was 9. This is why my mpg suck the phone is using my gas too

If you had recently reset your MPG reading with the EVIC it will show huge gains, or in your case reductions, in your readings. That being said, I also believe our HEMI's use a lot of gas when idle. Once you get rolling again it will go back up. I dd the same last week. I sat at an intersection after a recent reset and the MPG ticked while I watched down to 9. something. I left it alone and by the end of the week I nursed her back up to 18 MPG. All local in town driving too.

I think there's a bug in the software. If you shut the engine off and sit with the key on, the gas millage goes down. I think this was mentioned before.

As long as there is power, even acc. power, the mileage will still be calculated. Don't know why. The car doesn't need to be running to lose mileage. That's why I always check mine by doing the math, EVIC is not always right.

I think the ideal talking speed is right around 37 mph. If you can keep it there you might even see mpg gains.

I've seen mine drop with the car off. As soon as you start the car and drive agian, it equals out to where it was before. I check mine every 2~3 tank fulls to see how far EVIC is off, its never been off by more than 0.3, and the times it was off, it told me I was getting worse than I actually was...

If you are looking for complete accuracy you should always check your readings with the mileage you've put on to the amount of gas your filling at the pump, but I find the EVIC readings have been pretty accurate for me too.
