If you get the one from Chrysler they don't show in pictures. There is a "J" adapter and it goes in from the bottom, straight up and is removed when not in use. I wouldn't use any other hitch!

The Ultimate Tailgate Accessory: The Hammaka Trailer Hitch Stand and Sport Chairs

    Written By: Seyth Miersma

    Filed Under: Aftermarket/Tuners, Automotive News, Gadgets, Trucks/Pickups December 5th, 2007 12:40 PM

Perhaps the greatest tailgate accessory we’ve ever seen, this trailer hitch stand and sport chairs from Hammaka, looks like the perfect holiday gift for the truck drivers on your list this year.

(Click on the jump to read more about the Hammaka Trailer Hitch Stand.)

The hitch stand will attach easily to any standard size receiver, and will happily carry any hanging chair, though it’s specially designed to work with the Hammaka items. As if this setup wasn’t already tailor-made for the tailgaters among us, the sport chairs are available in the livery of your favorite university, the perfect pre-game repose after a hearty morning of beer and brats. Big boys are warned that the system is only rated at 250-pounds per seat.
The trailer stand can be had for $129.99 from Hammaka’s website, or you can go all out with two sport chairs and get the whole package for $299.99. Don’t think of it as $300 though, just think of it as one less ticket to next year’s Michigan vs. Ohio State game. The kids didn’t want to go anyway.

I have a factory hitch on my Magnum....I'm embarassed to say I didn't even know I had one for nearly a year! I kept telling my self I needed to install one so I didn't have to drive my beater truck and then one day I actually looked under the rearend...crap, what the heck is that? LOL

I love the fact that it is hidden, but I drag my hitch on many occassions when I pull out of driveways/parking lots with any kind of incline. (When it's installed.) I'm not hauling heavy trailers either. Heck, it hangs up without the trailer even hitched.

Hitch is my next mod. Aside from being capable of towing, the hitch also helps to stiffen up the rear of the cars unibody.

The "J" adapter was less than $40 (US) at my local Dodge Dealer. Then you'll need the 2" hitch insert which is less than $30..... I hope that's what you were asking...

I bought my hitch shortly after buying the car and didn't know about the factory hitch that doesn't show. I bought a drawtite class II with the heavy duty wiring harness that draws power directly from the battery. Both hitch and harness cost about $166. It shows a little but costs a lot less than the factory unit. I'm happy with it.

    Need to load EVIC?
The price(prize) is frightfully expensive here in Europe more or less $800 I think of making him(it) matter direct used Canada.
If I see well the photo there is two left on the hitch

not quite sure what you are asking.. but the price should be around $200 USD from your dealer..

installation is very simple and it comes with a step by step picture instruction guide..

you do need a torque wrench to make sure it is torqued to specifications otherwise you might loose the hitch and the trailer..

the wire harness is an additional $80 or so USD....

I installed the Mopar hitch in no time. I was installing Blastin' Bob pipes at the same time, so when I cut off the resonators access to that area was great. I bolted up the hitch, then put on the pipes.

The wiring harness takes longer to install than the hitch. But that's basically plug-n-play other than the hole you have to drill in the body behind the taillight. But that's even not that bad.

I highly recommend the Mopar hitch as it really is hidden from view.

They changed the position of the wiring connector bracket. Mine faces downward and toward the rear. Think I kind of like that one better.
