    what nufflers you running with catback

    please post what mufflers you are running with catback i have jba and have a dron on interstate
    thanks

    I am running some dynomax super turbo mufflers with a set of flowmaster axle back resonators----thanks to my buddy and fellow lx member purplhaze.
    Great set up....no drone and sounds great WOT.

    Would help get rid of the drone. I'm running Flowmaster 40s with resonated tips. Maybe try resonated tips.

    I've got a 3" stainless system from the Canadian outfit called MBRP; 4" straight through mufflers and rear resonators.


    It's sold as a Challenger system with rectangular quad tips. ( I have a '06 Magnum RT)

    My muffler shop used Magnaflow oval 3" stainless tips. I sold the quad tips on e-bay.


    It's suprisingly mellow with a very deep tone; probably from the large 3" pipes. Low resonant frequency like the big pipes on an old organ= DEEP bass!


    MDS drone is more felt than heard; my rearview mirror vibrates a little when MDS is engaged.


    It bothers some passengers but I'm used to it.

    I've got these on my street rod, a guy in my club is running them on his 11' Charger R/T. They sound fantastic with little to no drone. The beautiful thing about these is that they rumble but they are still quiet when you want them to be and then they ****ing scream when you get on it. Porter Mufflers

    And yes, they will be going under my SRT8 very soon.

    I'd like to hear this..i want a cat back but spending 700 on a slp is something i wouldent mind avoiding

    What the previous posters are saying is:

    No resonator = drone
    Resonators installed = no drone

    So you don't want to change your muffles. You need something further back to function as a resonator.

    I can't wait for my Corsa system!
    I ordered one to replace my Bassani system after I was rear ended...

    The Bassani system had so much drone it would resonate and cause the interior panels in the hatch to buzz...
