stopped by the dealer today and dropped down my deposit for an '06 magnum rt awd, just the way my wife wanted.
we weren't able to locate an rt awd w/the color/trims we were looking for, so this turned out best for us
now for the hard part, the wait
How long will the wait be?
I am in the same situation in my SXT search, I might have to order an 06 and hope it comes in before my current lease is up.
Life is too short to drive an ugly car!!

It is worth the wait, believe me.
I ordered my RT in June '04 and the Dealer updated me weekly and daily at the end. It was the best experience, but hated to part with my '02 Intrepid RT, this was the hardest part.
Just hang tough and it will be well worth the wait!

Hi Flo Cats
Hard to believe you have to order Magnum anymore. Glendora Dodge has like 20 RTs in their back lot. Jammin Dodge in Pomona has a bunch in their back lot, Ontario Dodge also has a bunch.Originally Posted by vile
Caall Jim Forrester(Fleet Sales) at Jammin Dodge in Pomona, tell him that Mark(magnum8r) and Godwin(Cucamonga Red RT) from the Forum sent you. He'll hunt down whatever you want for you, and do it for darn near invoice. Why wait if you don't have to.
Just my 2 cents
I was thinking the same thing - my local dealer has 28 Magnums in stock.
2 RT AWD
7 RT
2 SXT AWD
12 SXT

I can't believe there are so many rt's sitting on dealer lots!. I ordered my rt october 10, 2004 and got it dec 22, 2004. The wait was terrible!. I had searched california for an rt for 2 weeks prior to ordering. All I could find was vanilla (inferno red is the color!) and a few that the dealer wanted 5k over msrp! Got mine for 2k under msrp, and was well worth the wait, but if you can find one and not have to wait, go for it![]()

just to clarify, i have nothing against canada, in fact, i was boarding up in whistler and fell in love w/the place; we even spent an extra 3 days in vancouver....so nice. i was however surprise to see that it's being built there, as i did not realized they have a plant there.
during my search for the vehicle, i must have emailed (literally) 12-15 different dealerships. they either do not have it, or is not willing to go below msrp. if they did have an awd rt, it was either the color or certain options which the vehicle did not come with. now, this may seem picky, but imho, i think that if you're going to shell out that much money for something, you should be able to get what you're looking. granted there should be some wiggle room as it's nearly impossible to find an exact match.
also, i've purchased enough vehicles and have help many a people do the same. in all my dealings, i've never paid msrp. if you have the patience and do your homework, the right deal will come along
even with "some" compromises, i did not have much luck. i even called a salesman who came highly recommended. he sounds like an honest straight shooter, but was not able go below msrp.
my worst experience was w/the glendale, ca dealership. the internet sales manager straight up lied to me. when i caught him on it, he tried a lame @$$ excuse. maybe that's why glendale still had so many magnum on the lot
as a side note, i'm more excited about the car then my wife is.....and it's going to be her car
