    Well I did it....

Ok, so I had been pondering for the longest time about removing my side moldings and some of the emblems in the back. Well today, I got off my arse and did it. It looked ok except, on driver and passenger door i didnt get the infamous "ghosting"..........instead under the moldings the paint had decided to get acne. I have a bunch of little bubbles in the paint where the side moldings were. I did take pics, but by the time I got around to them, I was already done with my bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel, and they didnt come out to well..........come to think of it, Im suprised that I typing right now, cuz im purdy fuqqe'd up!!!! Anyways, here are some pics. I thought I was taking pics of the "acne" my car has but instead this is what came out. There should be some kinda public service announcement or law against people taking pics and being intoxicated at the same time. LOL,.............. Anyway.........here ya go............dont bash me too hard! for some reason...........i actually thought that i was taking good pics.........go fig?!?!?!?!! p.s. i really hate the weather channel. it says that it was just 'posed to be cloudy today, and guess what.......after f'n 7 hours or washing, waxing, demolding, waxing, and blah blah blah............right as i finish up............guess what.................it ****in rains....................sheesh........

    For the 'ghosting' issue:
Thoroughly wash the area and dry it.
Claybar the ****ens out of that area.
Use some Meguiars Scratch-ex over that.
    Wash the area again.
    Claybar it.
    Wax it and yer done.
This is how I got rid ofthe ghosting on my car and my wifes Dodge truck and you cant even tell where it all was...

    And the dead shall walk

aye Rev, was that ghosting in the form of little tiny bubbles in the paint? it looks like they put the side moldings on before the paint dried. im starting to wonder if that was the original paint on my car. matter of fact.....im going outside to take a pic with my camera phone so you guys can see it.

Thats what Ive heard from a few members that have removed theirs. Some say washing and claying the hell outta it works, others said just leaving it out in the sun allows the gases to escape and fixes it that way. Im planning on removing my molding when I have time.
