I was tailing my magnum the other day and was disapointed on how dim the rear turn signals were. My Bonneville would blind people, these just kinda come on.
The Mags are speced with a 3757 from the factory. It also cross referencees to a 3157. Both of these bulbs are rated at 24 MSCP (mean spherical candle power) when on full bright. You may ask of the 3757 and 3157 are rated the same at full bright what is the diff? On paper there does not seem to be one. The outputs and power consumption seem to be the same.
The 3457 comes in at 30 MSCP at full power, thus giving you a brighter bulb. All three are rated at 2.2 MSCP at parking and tail mode.
The 3057 has the same full bright rating of 24 MSCP but the parking/tail filament is only rated at 1.5 MSCP.
I plan to change mine out soon and try to post a shot of the difference.
NOTE: The above specs are for the NA versions of the bulb, also know as Natural Amber, or yellow.
