Upgrade Suggestions for my NEw 2005 ???

[img]Well, yesterday I took my 2004 Quad cab 4x4 HEMI Ram Pickup in and traded it in on a Black 2005 Dodge Magnum. I decided to woth the small v-6 instead of the HEMI (I was gettin 10-11 mpg :-( ) Sooo, has anyone done anything with the 2.7 motor? Air Intakes? Exhaust? I mean its pretty peppy for a six.... I want the best of both worlds, DECENT mileage, and a little more pep.... DROP me a line......[/color

2.7 L V6, only options are the rack & storage, Power Seat & pedals, listed for $23,870. I have added Mud Guards, Pollen Filter, and XM Radio. Best mileage so far is 27 mpg, top speed achieved is 118 mph when computer limited speed. Car was still pulling strong when the limiter activated and speedometer was dead on 115 mph, and not even close to redline. I may do a "chip" mod later to defeat the limiter. Only other thing for sure is a set of factory alloy wheels and Michelin HydrEdge tires. I have had no problems and the car has excellent ride and is extremely quite at all speeds. I love the looks it's always getting and people come up an ask about it and want to look inside.

I agree -- I looked at those photos and my first thought was "Wait a minute, why did I spend the extra $ for the RT?" Of course I know the answer, but I've had some fleeting second thoughts as I watch the gas gauge DROP in town

    That cool vanilla looks sweet.

These are some great photos ! I have always abhorred the vanilla on the magnum (or anything else, including icecream), but on these pics it looks awesome, for some reason (probably the owner adds character

It's the luggage rack & mud guards, not the the old gizzer standing beside the car.

Fuel mileage is running 26 to 28 MPG running 80 MPH on Interstate, and would probably hit 30 MPG if I could hold speed to 65 or 70 MPH and quit the quick runs to 85 or 90 MPH when passing semi's on the interstate.
