    Can't stop you from spending your money the way you want to :-) I bet FnkyChkn would agree with me though. BTW, where do you plan to get level to temperature ratio?

    What about this. I'm about to have my trans leak fixed, therefore the level should be checked at the dealer. Then, get home and check the level cold (note the outside temp) the next day with said dipstick. Then, you should always know the proper level at that same cold temperature, right?

    Is there a reason this would not work? Seems to me this would work with about any dipstick you could put in there. I heard one off a Ram truck was the correct size and length.

    Why bother. If it has a leak, that will be obvious. It would have to be checked and fixed at a dealer anyway. If there is no leak, id gamble that its still full ....LOL
