I don't know how big this set is that you're talking about, but a friend of mine had a professional install with a big one where they put the thing way back under the truck bed. The problem was the sound waves would crack the radiator if they put it up front.

They're also illegal in CA at least. But I agree its hilarious. Don't ever honk at Grandma or a car loaded with kids.

    Question

It's your car...put whatever you wanna put on it.
I, personally, have to wonder WHY ?
Does take away from the KOOLNESS of the car.

I have been wanting to do those on a car too. Problem is they are usually about 600-1200$ for just the 3 horns (good train horns as least). with a little work, and custom brackets I bet you could get them behind the grill. The pressure wave might be a problem as MattR said but I think you might be able to get the sound headed forward and not back into the engine.

I have never dealt with these guys and I hate to put there link here but they have some pretty funny videos of them driving around scaring people.

Put 'em anywhere you can squeeze them in. It doesn't matter what direction they're facing when they're that loud. Between the grill and the rad somewhere?

I hate hornblasters because they WILL NOT STOP at car shows. It's cool for about 5 mins... but 3 days straight??? I wanna see wvvw.peoplekickinhornblastersa$$3$.com. Now that would be a funny video.

I cant fiqure out which is dumber, the train horns or the screaming exhaust. The car shows here, the first time you did it, out the door you go! Also with a nice ticket to match. I cant remember what NE calls it, but seems NE has a law for farting in pub-liK.

Heck, I'd like to park near RR crossings and wait for cars to pass by. Then give 'em a toot! Now, that's funny there, I don't care who you are.

Pending size they may fit where your air silencer was, or where resonators came from if you have them removed.

Never forget, one of the first NEW cars I bought was a Honda. This was their first car to come to the states and had a 2cyl air-cooled engine. I got it fully loaded, options were 1-am-fm and 2-Radial tires.. lol
It cost right at (are you ready for this) $2,000.00 and we financed it for 2yrs.. hey it easily got 40mpg..

It was so tiny though that I decided to install air horns for a little more attention when needed. This was a pair I think 2 different tones one a little larger than the other. I ended up mounting them on the hood just in front of the windshield and it really looked pretty cute on that car. Was so funny when someone would start to move on us and we blew the horns they would turn around and look UP like thinking there was a huge tractor trailer just to finally see our little orange Honda "sport coupe I believe".. tooo funny..
    Very effective though..

Sorry for rambling on.. lol, Now I need to find some pics of that guy.
Ok, couldn't resist.. had to google it.

Looks like it was around 1970, Honda 600 Coupe.
Now keep in mind I also installed a luggage rack on the roof which I had to modify to fit of course, but it matched the horns quite well.. lol
