    today, I shaved my wife's...

    Side moldings!
(get yer minds out of the gutter)
I showed her the jetchip online and for the fist time since fixin up my ride, she gave me a look. I figured it was time to take action. I hopped outside, detailed her ride, removed the bogus pinstrips added by the dealer and removed the side moldings and all the nasty hooha halding em on. I'm still smart enough to sit on the jetchip for a little while but I did get her blessing in scoring a black billet grille.
She's all happy now and I figure I'm good for one or two more spending tangents until I have to tint her windows.
    Here's out it turned out:

Nice and smooth. were those pin stripes painted on? Don't you hate when they put them pinstrips on!!! Thank goodness for Nail Polished remover with no acetone if they are painted on.

i bet the dealership charged you about $60 for the stupid pinstripes too, huh? i hate it when they ruin nice looking cars with mismatched pinstripes.

while it could be seen as my just waisted 1,400 bucks... the alternative would have been to ORDER my car and wait.
I aint gripin'. I'd a rather been drivin' it.

Hey Grinner.....Since you also removed the side moldings on your wife's Magnum and there does not appear to be any paint color difference on your wife's car, bring in both cars to the dealer to plead your case on the color problem on your black one. I must admit that you're a brave guy to remove the moldings on a second car after you had a problem on the first car, but it turned out great. By the way, you have 2 great looking Magnums!

well, I had seen pics of the mineral gray shaved already and when mama is wanting her mahnum shaved... wadda ya gonna do?
I wasn't too worried goin INTO it. Had it turned out bad, I'd just have em respray her doors as well.
Good idea on bringin both in. I gotta take hers in for the recall anyway. Plus, someone horked the plastic cargo tray and the privacy canopy FROM the back of her car before we bought it so it's gotta go in anyway.
