VHT niteshades is the best one (e-bay), that's what I did my eyebrows with:

Or, you can get altezza tailights (e-bay):

Definitly wrong on that one. 402 Motoring is the way to go for tinted tails. I have seen niteshades that we had to fix and the are absolutly horrible. Our tinted tails are sprayed and cleared. They can even be waxed like your car. Try doing that with night shades!

I've seen some VHT jobs turn out primo, and others suck. It has a lot to do with prep, how you spray it, and what kind of environment you have available to spray in. IMHO, having it done by someone is worth it. If you get a fly in your paint, you'll be cursing yourself for days trying to make it look right. 402 does great work, and I say that based on other rides I've seen, not my own. I had mind done by another forum member here (Charg-um) and they look stellar. I've yet to see film that really looks good.

I did mine last week, the VHT stuff kinda leaves a dull finish in my mind. But once you clearcoat them 5-6 times they look like the paint on the car and they turned out awesome for a total of $15.00 for the VHT and the high quality Clearcoat.
Ernie at 402 is the best. Had mine done almost two years ago and still look as good as the first day. Worth the $$$, in my opinion.

Does anyone know if anyone in Canada, or even better - Toronto area, does this?

seriously niteshading is EASY....and CHEAP. if you do it right they look amazing and can be shined to a high gloss just like your paint...clear coat is a MUST, so don't be shy with it. It's a can of spray pain essentially, so yes...you can make it look sh!tty, but it's pretty hard. just smooth light even coats until you get to the shade you want. if you've never spray painted anything then try on some random stuff in your garage first to get used to how the cans spray....and remember it's something that be fixed pretty easily if it ever comes down to it....i would never pay anyone to do it. save your money for stuff that you can't do yourself....i don't pay people to pump my gas or tie my shoes either, but hey that's just me...plus there's a certain pride in making your car look nicer and knowing you did it yourself
if you're 100% committed to not doing it yourself, then you can always try to find someone on the forums to help you...most are happy to barter...or most tint shops in toronto can do them as well

if you take your time to light sand between nightshades and clearcoats then buff/polish/wax the tails. they come out looking like factory.
you cant just spray the nightshades on and be finished, it needs clear coat.
pictures do no justice but with a free days worth of work, i doubt a pro painter could get a better finish than what i came up with for less than 20$. I can see them matching it but not better, thats how good they came out![]()

I used transparent red lens tape over the clear section above the reverse light. It looks factory and (in my opinion) looks good on a red car. (oh, I also replaced the signal light with a clear one).
