tail light suggestions
i f'd up my oem tail trying to tint them myself.. i considering possible other options. Give me your input on my options. Ive seen L.E.D on eaby for a reasonable price... but is there any special wiring for this mod? I'd rather somthing I can just plug in and go!!!

There's no special wiring, i have led's and it took 20 minutes to install. There is a plug for the led lights but it fits in the oem harness. If they do not turn on just flip the plug and you should be good to go. Be careful with the wingnut on the back. be careful not to drop it.

yea stuff rags in the opening below the wing nut before you remove the wing nut someone online had to use a shopvac to get a dropped wing nut out of the blackhole . but any way the leds plug right in and look great i've got black'uns on mine.

What did you do to your stock tails that you screwed them up by tinting them??

Could some of you guys with LEDs post the brands. I had Depos and they just don't work. Finally got them to send me a shipping label and sent them back for the second time. Supposed to get a refund so will have about $280 to purchase another set.
Oh yea if you post a brand name could you also post a pic or a link to them?Tinted glass, Cut front springs 1 1/4",

use turpentine to clean off the tint from the old ones and redo them!

Ya Stitch, that was me with the shop vac. Now I use the rags. I got "Eagle Eyes" off ebay and tinted the with "Nite-Shades", the 4-5 coats of clear. Check my blog for pics.
One more thing, check the lights, make sure they work before tinting, that voids the warranty.

Thats 3 lite coats of tint and a bunch of clear. I haven't been stopped yet here in SO-CA and I've had a few CHP stopped behind me in traffic.

Let me guess the lense cracked on the tail light? Mine did this as well, sanding makes it worse as teh cracks are deep in the plastic.

I got some angel eyes as well. I bought them off of ebay from the seller 'revotec' for around $120 or so. I tinted mine around the edges a little. No special wiring at all, and bright LEDs. Take a look below. Mine, then stock as listed:
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...unless you have to go to a clinic to get rid of it.
