    I would not do it on a hot blacktop road....unless you want the hot blacktop spraying up into your fenderwells/the rear quarter panel of your car....

    Yeah, your wife will notice the TAR on the car.

    Seriously, the Autostick is designed for people who have Automatics. It will not let you do any shift that will harm the engine, and it will automatically upshift at the redline. It won't let you downshift if the RPMs are too high either, though it will let you downshift and brake with your engine to an extent, provided everything is well within engine tolerance.

    As for the wife... bah! What she doesn't know won't hurt her.

    PS- I'm an AWD, so, no burnouts for me
