About LinkBacksTHIS IS A GUY I E MAILED AT SRT TO GET ALL THE 06 SRT-8 MAG - CHARGER - AND CHRYSLER FINAL PRODUCTION NUMBERS IN ALL THE DIFFERENT COLORS AND THIS IS HIS REPLY. ILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED. HE DID GET ME ALL THE 06 MAG NUMBERS THOUGH A WHILE BACK THAT I ALLREADY POSTED. BLACK 1499 RED 666 SLIVER 555 TOTAL 2720.

I spent some time with the SRT guys last week and just wanted you to know that they are in the process of datamining two different databases for definitive #s for ALL SRTs by year/model/color. It is their intention to eventually post all these stats on all the forums. No timeline as of yet though.

That's pretty cool! So I have 1 of only 555! Very sweet! So how would I know what production number I have?

THESE ARE FOR 06 SRT-8 MAG ONLY. As Far As What Number Yours Is Im Not Sure But Was Told By A Srt Guy At Chrysler Where To Look. Open Hood And From The Center Of The Latch On The Car Not Hood Measure Over 14 In To The Right There Is A U Shaped Bracket And On The Right Top Theres Some Numbers Scroled On It. If There Were Under 1000 Built Use The Last Three Numbers. Mine Is Red AND THE BUILD DATE WAS 3/06 So There Were 666 Built Mine Says 366 And A Friend Of MinE Has Same Color But Was Built B4 Mine His Number Was 258 I Think. Is This True Im Not Sure Thats All He Told Me.

CooL...I'm number 385 of 555!

Ok i went and checked this is what i Have
I have a blk magnum SRT..this numbers say this 12896111 or it could be 12096111 cant tell if its a 0 or an 8... Im confused what number car is mine? and this is the only number i find about 14 inch from the hood latch on the body not the hood.....2006 MSRT-8 ...GONE....

I just looked and the only thing I found to the right of the latch was the horn.

If I am reading or attempting to read the correct number... My Dec '05 Build BBMSRT says something like 33505111... the third and fourth numbers are difficult to read. The numbers are all "stamped" with a series of dots.

The simplest way to do this might be for us to start a spreadsheet with the VIN and Build Date... I saved some of this info from the old mylxinfo site, but I was only active there for a couple months..., it's been down for almost a year and the only cars tracked were those of members so there is a ton of missing info.
Unfortunately, when I came on there the thread listed cars and status, and it was not kept in a spreadsheet and VINs and car builds routinely scrolled off:(
Quite a few of the members there ended up here or at 300C forums, or Charger Forums... I wish we were all one one forum instead of seperated, it takes alot of work to try and keep up with all the forums, and I feel alot of community and information is lost.

I hate to burst the bubble, but I don't believe this is the number of the Magnum SRT in a color, just a number for that part in it's manufacturing.
As far as I can tell, it's day of the year in the first three digits, then year of manufacture (not model year) in next two, then a sequence number for the part.
My MSRT8 was built on August 26th, 2005. The number on the support structure is 23005304 which works out to August 18th, 2005, which makes sense for a part that's made in time to arrive for assembly at the plant. Similarly, my dash was made on the Monday of that week, August 22nd, 2005.
I really doubt that they built #304 of 666 in August of 2005, but I suppose it's possible. But if that was the case, I would have expected to have seen a flood of red Magnum SRT8's when I was on the plant tour that Monday. The only SRT8 I saw was a black one. So if we really want to find out this info we are back to trying to track down every SRT owner and doing a spreadsheet with VIN and Build Date Unless there is a new Galen Glover in Brampton
