so my wife calls me and says
"when did they start making Special Edition Magnums?"

I was like ???? what do you mean.
"there is a silver magnum in the parking lot and where ours says HEMI it says Special Edition"

HUH? I didnt know they made one...... take a pic of it.

well does it say 3.5L by it

well they make ones that say 3.5L High output where it says HEMI on ours.

Sorry MagnumSXT, I gotta be a spoiler on this one 'cause I've got one too.

The "Special Edition" was a package offered on '05 SXTs. IIRC (and MagnumSXT jump in if I miss something), it was sunroof, BA sound, 6 CD changer w/Sirius radio (1yr free service), and the badging. I really only wanted the sunroof but the one I got was on the lot as of 7/05 (w/ a build of 10/04), I wanted an '05 for the 7/70, and the $$ worked out such that I got the audio stuff free. I know, more info than you wanted but there you have it.

Yeah I have one too. All that info seems correct to me.

It was avaliable on many of Dodge's cars/mini-vans. I think this is Dodge's answer to Chryslers "Walter P Chrysler" edition package found on many Chrysler vehicles around the same time.
