    A simple tpms problem

im fairly new to the magnum and have been trying to fix the tire pressure light for a few days. i first tryed adding air to the tires, but that didn't work, the car had no problems at the dealership when i test drove it, but since they removed the rims it had and put on some cheaper 18" the light turned on after leaving the dealer. i want to be able to fix it on my own but im not aure what else to do. if any one can help me out , letting me know if im doing it right, or else im just taking it to the service department for them to take care of it.

08 magnum with the simple tpms tires have 35 lbs of presure
the door says 30 for 17" rims so not sure what my 18's need

    thanks Hector

Why did they remove the original wheels that were on it? You made a deal on the car as it was when you test drove it right? Sounds like they didn't swap over the TPMS sensors

Your new wheels probably don't have the sensors bud.

i check and the new wheels do have tpm stems, and i have them remove the aftermarket rims cause they drop the sticker price 4 gs. and those rims weren't worth that much. the tires had low pressure of 32 so i added a bit more and im waiting for the light to reset , they mention it takes a few mile,

Makes sense why you swapped out. Those wheels are not worth 4 grand. I'd still take it back to the dealer and tell them to reset the TPMS.

i did not know you could see the stem from outside the wheel. my valves look just the same.

the light goes off immediately it reads proper pressure. i know cos i deflated my tires at the track.. if it stays on mere than a minute after the air is within range, it broken or absent. do u have EVIC? does it show you the pressure on all 4 tires? or are you just going by the yellw light in the instrument cluster?

if u have no EVIC and u r just going by the yellw light, then i think the stems are absent or broken
